The war in Afghanistan has been neglected so badly in the past eight years, now all of the progress and gains our warriors had made are very well diminished. The past neglect to your warriors should be criminal.
Afghanistan is in disarray. U.S. Defense Secretary James Mattis arrived in the troubled country early Monday, three days after nearly 200 soldiers were killed in a horrific attack on a prominent Afghan military base.
The Afghan military floundered after American troops mostly withdrew. The insurgents’ grip on power has been steadily increasing rather than diminishing. Mattis’ visit signals America’s increased commitment to Afghan politics. Read more here
