The U.S. dropped a bomb containing 11 tons of explosives on an ISIS cave complex in Afghanistan’s Nangarhar province on the border with Pakistan on Thursday, a Pentagon spokesman confirmed to CBS News’ David Martin.
These things are "bad ass". Not only is the explosion from the 11 tons of explosive damaging, the physiological affect of this type of ordinance is all around pant shitting terrible. I have been in the area of this type of explosion aftermath and as it detonates just above ground ( at a predetermined altitude) and it is very affective for bad dudes in caves as it literally sucks the oxygen out of the sky and burns it rapidly. For bad dudes in a cave that means the air in your lungs leaves your body so fast because of the burn rate, we often found bad dudes with lungs hanging out of their mouth.Ya, that kind of bad ass. For the record, the article says "first time use" which is incorrect, these were used in 2003, not often but were used in the Tarin Kowt mountain range that included (use too) a large infrastructure of cave networks. They worked really good there as well….
