Ladies desire to be treated and have the same opportunity to serve in the combat roles. OK, got it as long as they meet the current physical and mental requirements. If we “change” or reduce them so they pass then watch your military become weaker and weaker. I have zero issues serving next to any female who makes the grade just as her male counterpart next to her. However, if standards are lowered, we have a serious problem.(sign into Facebook to watch)
Thus, if female warriors want to be treated equally, I fully support having them have to register for the draft. Equal rights means equal treatment, that’s a two way street ya know. It will be interesting to see if it really happens or we simply just lower the required standards. Much of this will come into play on who the next President is for sure. Time for a C-Gar
WASHINGTON — The top Army and Marine Corps generals say they believe all women should have to register for the draft now that combat jobs are open to them.
The military service leaders say they will not lower standards to bring women into the more grueling jobs. They told the Senate Armed Services Committee that it will take up to three years before the combat posts are fully integrated.
Army Gen. Mark Milley and Marine Gen. Robert Neller said women should be included in the requirement to register for the selective service at age 18. But Navy Secretary Ray Mabus and Army Acting Secretary Patrick Murphy would only say that the issue should be discussed. Read full story here
