The biggest thing coming out of this verdict of the murder of Chris Kyle (American Sniper) is hopefully closure for the families. It will never bring their warriors back but it may help them continue with their lives.
A former Marine was found guilty Tuesday in the 2013 shooting deaths of former Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, the author of "American Sniper," and a friend of Kyle's.
It took an Erath County jury in Texas less than two hours to convict Eddie Ray Routh of capital murder. State District Judge Jason Cashon sentenced Routh to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Routh, 27, had admitted to the killings at a gun range in 2013 but pleaded not guilty. His attorneys and family members asserted that he suffers psychotic episodes caused by post-traumatic stress disorder and other factors. Read full story here
