Us-embassy-in-libya-evacuated-amid-civil-war-620x350

If you didn’t realize it from watching your basic “don’t tell anything” news, your US Marines evacuated American citizens out of the US Embassy in Libya Saturday. I’m sure you were aware of that right?  No? Perhaps you should be asking what else the news isn’t reporting.

“All embassy personnel were relocated, including the Marine security guards who were providing security at the embassy and during the movement,” Defense press secretary Rear Admiral John Kirby said in a statement, “The embassy staff was driven in vehicles to Tunisia.”

Evacuating an embassy is no easy task and although your Marines rehearse their action on the objective time and again, anything can happen. The good thing is that because the USMC is so vastly expeditionary and always at sea we can be just about anywhere very quickly especially since we are strategically placed around the world. Makes ya wonder why these warriors weren’t sent in for those Americans in Benghazi. Time for a C-Gar
