General Carl E. Mundy, Jr., the 30th Commandant. On April 2 he died peacefully at home, surrounded by family, having struggled with a rare and aggressive form of cancer, Merkel cell carcinoma.(taken from here)

Being the 30th Commandant of the Marine Corps he did many great things. His son, Colonel Mundy is following in his dads footsteps. I have served under Colonel Mundy and remember his father well.

Semper Fidelis Sir – Time for a C-Gar
