If you have never seen this video, watch it. Watch it good
ad maybe a couple of times and think to yourself what his actions actually
mean. Would you have done the same? Do you think Americans today would have sit
and watched the American flag burn or do you think today somebody would have “acted”.
My concern is that with many of our “carefree” people with a so what attitude
in America today, many would have watched as the flag would have burnt, then
they would have complained about getting on with the game.

America, those of us who would have acted had better make
sure those that want to burn our flag understand we are out here and we will “act”.

Time for a C-Gar!

  1. Couple of things. One, yes, I do believe that there are plenty of people left in this country, active duty military, veterans or folks that still recognize right from wrong, that would have done, or would do the same thing in that situation. And two, I’m sure that after the flag had been secured, that some of the folks that I mentioned would put a major ass-whooping on those clowns. I know I would. Semper Fi.

  2. “RICK MONDAY… YOU MADE A GREAT PLAY…” He later said, “If you’re going to burn the flag, don’t do it around me. I’ve been to too many veterans’ hospitals and seen too many broken bodies of guys who tried to protect it.”[2] Monday was a U.S. Military member himself, having served a commitment with the Marine Corps Reserve as part of his ROTC obligation after leaving Arizona State. On August 25, 2008, Monday was presented with an American flag flown over Valley Forge National Historical Park in honor of his 1976 rescue.[3] Monday is still in possession of the flag he rescued from the protestors; he has had offers to sell it (for up to $1 million) but has declined all offers.

  3. When my oldest son was in 2nd grade he over heard a conversation about the right to burn the flag. He got so upset he interrupted the grown up conversation stomping his foot and saying, “If I see anyone burning MY flag I will punch them in the face.” I hope such a strong reaction so young means I’m raising him right.

  4. This brought tears to my eyes…and a memory long forgotten. Don’t know where you find these gems Major, but thank you…I am passing on this bit of forgotten pride in America.

  5. There is a bond between warriors. Some of those warriors are four legged. Some of those four legged warriors have saved many two legged warriors lives. Sometimes it’s best to let sleeping dogs be
