Monday has come and gone. Yes, it’s over, but how did you do? It’s amazing how down we may get, and then get a small kick in the butt to perk up only to achieve half of what we are able to do. Think you kicked ass on Monday? Did you use the same determination, motivation, desire and team work like that in the picture above?

"Team X-T.R.E.M.E. founder, team leader and Iraq War veteran Jeremy Soles said, “The team dons gas masks as a way to symbolize perseverance in the face of insurmountable odds and overcoming mental and physical obstacles.  In this event we are honored to be able to bring awareness to thousands of wounded warriors from the Afghanistan and Iraqi campaigns as well as pay homage to the tens of thousands of American and Filipino soldiers who surrendered to Japanese forces on April 9, 1942. The Americans were Army, Army Air Corps, Navy and Marines. They were marched for days in the scorching heat through the Philippine jungles. Thousands died. Those who survived faced the hardships of being a prisoner of war.  Challenges experienced in the mask last for hours, while the brave heroes who survived the Bataan Death March and our nation’s current wounded warriors endure their challenges for a lifetime.”

If you didn’t kick some ass on Monday, then guess what, it’s Tuesday and many of those problems will still be there. Suck it up sally and address those issues you are avoiding before they get out of control. Unless you are one of those warriors deployed where people are trying to kill you on a daily basis, a spouse of those deployed or one of those warriors in the above picture, you really don’t have much of an excuse. Sure, there may be an exception, but I bet if we looked in the mirror you would agree that you live in one of the greatest countries in the world compared to a third world country where we may take for granted the nice things we have (like running water) and after doing a bit of sole searching you may agree that we have it pretty good.

Heart, guts, determination, its not served on a platter, you have to find it inside and want whatever you are doing bad enough that you will not accept failure. I don’t think the warriors in the above picture are going to accept failure. I don’t think our warriors slugging it out in Afghanistan are going to accept failure. Why are you? Go get a cup of suck it the hell up, put your big girl panties on (for ladies) and get after it. “Get er done”.  Some may be thinking….”but Pain, it’s hard and I can’t do it”…..That kind of talk makes me want to vomit! Stop your blood clot crying and get it done. Anything worth while is sometimes hard to accomplish. It’s Tuesday, don’t wait until Wednesday!
