The death of Whitney Houston was on the news several times a day.  She had one of the greatest voices in history.

Jesse Reed 26
Matthew Johnson 21
Zachary Fisher 24
Brandon King 23

and Sheldon Tate 27…

These are all Marines that gave their lives last month. There is no media for them;
not even a mention of their names.

  1. It actually annoys me that all the sheeple are jumping on the “Whitney Houston didn’t deserve the flag at half mast” when those same morons said not a word when Joe Paterno got the same honor. Honestly… a crack whore mostly destroys her own life, a person who doesn’t completely follow through on accusations of pedophilia…a far worse monster, in my book.
    That’s just me though. None of them really deserve a damn thing, but such is the country we call home.

  2. Not quite true, Jim Leher read their names and showed their pictures on PBS Newshour. A regular, and saddening, feature of that program. Their names were also published in the New York Times “Names of the Dead” feature which lists casualties names as they are published by DOD.
    The problem, in my opinion, is not the media. The media covers what people will pay to see. And most people in the USA just don’t give a damn.
    Semper Fi my fellow Marines, your brothers will never forget you.

  3. These men died mid-July 2010, and this list has been circulated with a comparison of the celebrity of the moment for the last 18 months, including Lindsey Lohan, Amy Winehouse and now Whitney Houston. Enough already, let these men rest.

  4. age, they will one day, or have already, fit this rule perfectly. One easy way to determine when two people will fit this rule is by downloading the iPhone app, “Dating Calc.” It can be found on iTunes from this link:
