Made in the usa

I’m afraid to say something or it’s always been like that why address it…. Well America you better crank up you pity party sympathy filter because when it comes to this great country of America, I can give a rats ass if I hurt your feelings because I want you to take your hat off during the National Anthem (yes, I will tell you to take your hat off if I see you with it on during the National Anthem), or I put my foot up your backside if you try to burn the American flag or if you want to run your jabs and bad mouth our service members.

If you aren’t proud of what we have in this country, or realize how good we have it and how fast it could be gone, you should go look at yourself in the mirror and ask, am I a sheep or sheep dog? Are you a follower or a leader? Are you a contributor of a blood sucker? Any of these questions will work just fine to get my point across.  This is America, built on the principles of land of the free and the brave. Where you can come with nothing and build yourself an empire if you work hard, don’t take no for an answer and have a dream.

Unfortunately we have too many that want to coast through their pathetic excuse of a life and suck all the life out of those trying to make a living and working their ass off. I’m no economic wizard that lives and breathes micro & macro economics…I’m more of the boogeyman to bad guys and I like doing that. I will leave the brain numbing seminars to those good at it and stay in my box of the glorious brotherhood called the Marine Corps.

However, I do like to buy American and when I find an American item that sucks, I tell them my thoughts. If it looks like a duck, sounds like a duck, I bet it’s a piece of crap item. I have never owned a foreign car, nor will I. I am a generally a Chevy man. I can work on them and I like their style. Usually you’re a Chevy guy or Ford guy. Whatever, I won’t really lose any sleep over you driving a Ford and yes I do drive a very large truck…if they made a bigger one I would probably own it. Deal with it.

I look back over time and I guess while was deployed, American products have shit the bed. WTF are we doing? We are America. We landed on the moon (if you email me and want to debate if we really landed on the moon I swear I will change the way you feel about me) We are the greatest country in the world but I got to tell you warriors, I see us dropping in altitude and airspeed and I don’t like it. Not one freaking bit. We have let our guard down, lesson our standards and let the shiny chrome on our awesomeness tarnish. That’s just not going to cut it for me, sorry. I’m an American. When I show up on foreign civilizations shores they know it. They either are really glad I’m there or get very sad. I can tell you one thing and that’s your Marine Corps is American made. I guess someone has to set the bar to our quality, I guess the Marine Corps will do it again!

On a smaller scale why do “American” companies oh like let’s see hmmmm Google has their cute little logo on top of their web page and they love to alter its shape for these touchy feely special dates/events. However, like on Memorial Day, a day that symbolizes the honor of those that have gave all so we aren’t speaking Japanese or German they don’t change their logo for that but do change it for the birthday of the Les Paul guitar? WTF?  Am I the only one that realizes this? I know that example may seem trivial but start looking around and you will see examples like that all over.

China Wants To Construct A 50 Square Mile Self-Sustaining City South Of Boise, Idaho

Gradually people start allowing our country to be weaker and weaker.  Sorry I’m not drinking the cool aide and if I have to be “that guy” to tell them to pound sand America is a strong country and we don’t tarnish her, then fine. I have no problem being that guy. If you see something that is jacked up like a five legged goat, speak up and set them straight. This entire BS about being timid and leaving it that way because it’s been that way is BS in itself.  Call them out on it. If we keep turning a blind eye before we know it we will be so weak it will be too late to do anything about it. Perhaps this is another OMV t-shirt idea (Made in the USA) One person can make a difference why not start with you?

Time for a CGar!

  1. I was not in the US MARINE CORP, served with them at El Tori NAS.I was in the 3902nd Security Police Elite Guard. I protected SAC underground, two Presidents, General Cuetis Lemay and nuclear weapons and systems. Having said that …. the espirt de corps instilled in the unit was never ending. Training was never ending.
Here is my point…you don’t get that “integrity” instilled in you in college, you don’t get that at home, you don’t get that on the corner, you get that in the Military…it gives you a perspective that is different from folks that never served…that didn’t stand and raise their hand and take that oath on that day you enlisted.

  2. Major I agree- I’m calling out GM they still owe 25 billion dollars to the American tax payer, but are spending money like a druken sailor.
-General Motor’s CEO, Dan Akerson, wants higher gas taxes and the price of a gallon of gas to increase closer to $5 a gallon. Are you kidding me?! The comments were made in an interview with the Detroit News. Regarding government imposed fuel efficiency increases Akerson stated, “You know what I’d rather have them do, this will make my Republican friends puke, as gas is going to go down here now, we ought to just slap a 50-cent or a dollar tax on a gallon of gas. People will start buying more Cruzes and they will start buying less Suburbans.”
These latest remarks by Akerson expose that profitability at GM is not the priority. It also exposes an arrogant tendency by millionaires, like Akerson, to disregard the pain that the average Americans feel when they are burdened with high gas prices. President Obama showed similar lack of sympathy at a Town Hall Meeting a while back when a member of the audience shared his concerns about high fuel costs. Obama’s answer was, buy a new, more efficient car. Of course, Obama’s choice for “efficient” vehicles is the Chevy Volt. So, if you can’t afford the price of gas, buy a $45,000 new car. That is logic that only people like Obama and Akerson can understand.
    Pro-Government, Pro-Union, Anti-American = GM….. True story!!!

  3. Are The Good Times Really Over For Good?
I wish a buck was still silver.
It was back when the country was strong.
Back before Elvis; before the Vietnam war came along.
    Before The Beatles and “Yesterday”,
When a man could still work, and still would.
Is the best of the free life behind us now?
Are the good times really over for good?
Are we rolling down hill like a snowball headed for hell?
With no kind of chance for the Flag or the Liberty bell.
Wish a Ford and a Chevy,
Could still last ten years, like they should.
Is the best of the free life behind us now?
Are the good times really over for good?
I wish coke was still cola,
And a joint was a bad place to be.
And it was back before Nixon lied to us all on TV.
    Before microwave ovens,
When a girl could still cook and still would.
Stop rolling down hill like a snowball headed for hell.
Stand up for the Flag and let’s all ring the Liberty bell.
    Let’s make a Ford and a Chevy,
Still last ten years, like they should.
The best of the free life is still yet to come,
The good times ain’t over for good.
Merle is now rollin’ over in his grave…along with the rest of the Patriots that have exited stage left…

  4. Laughing out loud…sorry didn’t mean to knock Merle off…he’s still here…it’s his ex Bonnie Owen that passed in 2006.…short term memory loss goin’ on here…rolls eyes..

  5. Well, here’s my two cents. When I was in the Corps, ’79-’83, 1/8 (that’s the grunts, in case you don’t know), we had a saying, no, it was more than a saying, it was our mantra. “Lead, follow, or get the hell out of the way” Pretty simple. And I apply it to most situations that I encounter today. And if you follow the chain of command that exists in our military right now, from the lowliest PFC in the unit, and I have been that PFC, all the way to the top, you come to the CIC. You know, the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. If you look back at the history of our nation, there has always been two pretty distinct trains of thought on how we should act as a nation in relation to the rest of the world. Hawk or Dove, isolationist or defender of freedom. And there have been times when the CIC was neither of those. Not at this point. It’s pretty obvious to me that our president is the worst kind. His disdain for the armed forces is unmatched, regardless of what he says, or does. Like sending his wife and the v-p’s wife on their “We love you, military wives” tour. And while I know that this country has so many other problems right now, from the economy, to the housing market, to the rising cost of everything. But the one that scares me is the handling of the armed forces. I just don’t think that the president cares about maintaining the integrity that our military has to have to accomplish its mission. Without a strong defense, we are nothing. No nation that could not defend itself has stood. No democracy has lasted as long as ours. And I want to see this one last, for my grandchildren and yours. I have all faith and confidence that the men and women serving our nation are getting it done, I sleep better at night armed with that knowledge. I for one, am just ready to see some of my countrymen start standing up for themselves, not wiating for someone else to do it for them. Semper Fi.

  6. It’s not a Chevy but here is the biggest pickup truck made.

You would have to check your state law to see if it’s legal there.

  8. Made in America!
NASA Rovers Spirit and Opportunity, engineered, built, and programmed entirely in the US at JPL, has been in continuous operation on Mars since 2004 when it landed. Spirit’s solar panels are so covered in dust in no longer functions as of 1 year ago. Opportunity keeps on going. On average, the temp they experience is -100 deg F during the day.

First video is launch. Second an amazing video of journey, especially the ‘landing’. This is a simulation, but that is what this system is programmed to do and how the rovers got to mars.

So I agree with you Major Pain. If an American company makes a crapy product, it is complete laziness on their part.

  9. Not a Marine. Never served in the military. Opposed the war in Viet Nam. Opposed Bush’s war on Iraq. Opposed Bush, Jr.’s war on Afghanistan. Bunch of chasing phantoms across the desert and mountains. Getting good men (and women) killed for squat. Sure, 9-11 was a bum deal. But you can’t send soldiers and sailors in harms way en masse to get these cocksuckers. That’s like trying to lose weight by decapitating yourself: sure you’ve lost ten pounds but YOU’RE DEAD.

Murrah Building in Oklahoma City, Boston Marathon bombers, San Bernadino shootings, five police officers ambushed and murdered in Dallas: homegrown terrorism. In San Bernadino the FBI’s investigation determined that the perpetrators were “homegrown violent extremists”. Land of the free and home of the brave. Yeah, bullshit!

Local PDs are arming themselves with military munitions and ordnance. Why? To put down public insurrection as the government disintegrates. To quash local patriots who believe in the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Second Amendment.

I don’t wish to demean your service to this country but some of you better get your heads out of your collective asses. I have little respect for anyone who tows somebody else’s ‘party line’. Fine, you are a patriot, I am a patriot. We each have our own way of showing that patriotism. But keep in mind who the real enemy to our American way of life really is.
