I’m afraid to say something or it’s always been like that why address it…. Well America you better crank up you pity party sympathy filter because when it comes to this great country of America, I can give a rats ass if I hurt your feelings because I want you to take your hat off during the National Anthem (yes, I will tell you to take your hat off if I see you with it on during the National Anthem), or I put my foot up your backside if you try to burn the American flag or if you want to run your jabs and bad mouth our service members.
If you aren’t proud of what we have in this country, or realize how good we have it and how fast it could be gone, you should go look at yourself in the mirror and ask, am I a sheep or sheep dog? Are you a follower or a leader? Are you a contributor of a blood sucker? Any of these questions will work just fine to get my point across. This is America, built on the principles of land of the free and the brave. Where you can come with nothing and build yourself an empire if you work hard, don’t take no for an answer and have a dream.
Unfortunately we have too many that want to coast through their pathetic excuse of a life and suck all the life out of those trying to make a living and working their ass off. I’m no economic wizard that lives and breathes micro & macro economics…I’m more of the boogeyman to bad guys and I like doing that. I will leave the brain numbing seminars to those good at it and stay in my box of the glorious brotherhood called the Marine Corps.
However, I do like to buy American and when I find an American item that sucks, I tell them my thoughts. If it looks like a duck, sounds like a duck, I bet it’s a piece of crap item. I have never owned a foreign car, nor will I. I am a generally a Chevy man. I can work on them and I like their style. Usually you’re a Chevy guy or Ford guy. Whatever, I won’t really lose any sleep over you driving a Ford and yes I do drive a very large truck…if they made a bigger one I would probably own it. Deal with it.
I look back over time and I guess while was deployed, American products have shit the bed. WTF are we doing? We are America. We landed on the moon (if you email me and want to debate if we really landed on the moon I swear I will change the way you feel about me) We are the greatest country in the world but I got to tell you warriors, I see us dropping in altitude and airspeed and I don’t like it. Not one freaking bit. We have let our guard down, lesson our standards and let the shiny chrome on our awesomeness tarnish. That’s just not going to cut it for me, sorry. I’m an American. When I show up on foreign civilizations shores they know it. They either are really glad I’m there or get very sad. I can tell you one thing and that’s your Marine Corps is American made. I guess someone has to set the bar to our quality, I guess the Marine Corps will do it again!
On a smaller scale why do “American” companies oh like let’s see hmmmm Google has their cute little logo on top of their web page and they love to alter its shape for these touchy feely special dates/events. However, like on Memorial Day, a day that symbolizes the honor of those that have gave all so we aren’t speaking Japanese or German they don’t change their logo for that but do change it for the birthday of the Les Paul guitar? WTF? Am I the only one that realizes this? I know that example may seem trivial but start looking around and you will see examples like that all over.
Gradually people start allowing our country to be weaker and weaker. Sorry I’m not drinking the cool aide and if I have to be “that guy” to tell them to pound sand America is a strong country and we don’t tarnish her, then fine. I have no problem being that guy. If you see something that is jacked up like a five legged goat, speak up and set them straight. This entire BS about being timid and leaving it that way because it’s been that way is BS in itself. Call them out on it. If we keep turning a blind eye before we know it we will be so weak it will be too late to do anything about it. Perhaps this is another OMV t-shirt idea (Made in the USA) One person can make a difference why not start with you?
Time for a CGar!
