Sorry for the occasional lapse in the blog, however, I am deploying again and am a bit busy training, getting way too many shots and revisiting some parts of the US I haven’t seen for awhile. I will try to keep everyone advised and once in country you will know it as I begin posting the usual combat posts again. Keep checking back and remember, its only one Marine’s view. Semper Fi

  1. The Gunny says she can’t come hold your hand, so she is going to send you tons of letters to let you know you are her hero. She wishes one thing for you and that is to have safer times going to the head!!!! hahaha

  2. And I thought the lapse was due to boredom!lol. Where will the deployment be to? Or is that a opsec issue? Don’t ya just love those pesky little shots? Umm, have someone rub em and make it all better!
Thanks for giving us One Marines’ View!

  10. Hello. I just came accross your site through a couple links…. I am in school for my BSN for the Army (Yes, lol, I know. Not the Marines, but hey. lol. I was just thinking the Marine Corps was just a little too hard-core for me…). Thank you so much for your service. You have my salute and gratitude from the deepest part of me. God Bless. Please visit my blog at http://www.formycountry.blogspot.com

  11. Maj. Pain,
You’ll have more stories for that book you and Taco are going to write one of these days.
Thanks for your service. Stay safe. You’ll be in our prayers.

  12. Keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. Will be checking in on you for sure – where ever you may be. Above all – be safe friend.

  13. Hey Veteran’s Wife
The stories Major Pain has not shared is a book in itself. I hope some day he will write a book about his experiences. Major Pain is larger than life that he shares on this site. He is a true Patriot. He has put up with my BS for 2 years. LMAO. All kidding aside I am working with a laser focus to contribute to his safe return as well of the tireless Marines and Soldiers who serve in Harm’s way. We all work in our own way to take down the Jihadist and those who wish us harm. Major Pain is on the front line. I pray all will support him.

  14. Maj. B.
Good luck on your deployment. Stay safe. Will be looking for your Anysoldier post. You and Taco Bell were the first two Anysoldier post that I read and have followed you all ever since. Thanks for all you do.

  15. Gob bless you Major. If your travels take you to my area, my door’s open! We will always be with you in prayers.
    Semper gratus!

  16. Well, hell, skipper, I was hoping this thing would be over and done with by now and you would not have to deploy again..this thing is starting to remind me of the Vietnam era. Stay safe and I will look forward to your blogs from in country

  17. Hate to see you go again–seems like you just got home not so long ago! Wishing you safe travels and you will be in my prayers. God bless you and your family Maj!

  18. Major, I remember very well the first time I received a letter from you. You were at a camp in Afghanistan, at the beginning of the war. Back then, I prayed it would be a short war, but it wasn’t to be. I thank God every day for brave men like you who selflessly defend our country time and time again. We’re here for whatever you and your Marines need. Good luck and God bless.

  19. Hey Major,
When are you coming back so that we can start our business selling the whistlers in Oakland. hope, all is well my friend.
