  1. I saw Ross McGinnis on the news tonight and it was very touching. He instinctively save his brothers. There is no medal high enough to honor a sacrifice such as this. I will keep his friends and family in my thoughts and prayers.

  2. Simply amazing, and more so, how many more out there would do this for their brothers? I am willing to bet just about all of them out there fighting the fight would do so, he just was put into the position of having to do it. He is the true meaning of Hero. God bless his family and may they take comfort in knowing they raised an outstanding young man that will never be forgotten.

  3. What a band of brothers our Marines are! They fight for each other and for us. Our Marines are the ones making the huge sacrifices. May Cpl Dunham rest in peace, his family should be very proud, they raised a wonderful son.

  4. or did I?(I couldn’t get the above link to work-old equipment, again. Any way God bless both of them, their friends and families and our troops and veterans past and present.

  5. I LOVE TO SEE OUR MEN RECIEVE THE M.O.H , BUT RATHER SEE IT PINNED ON THERE CHEST IN FRONT OF HIS C.O , OR PREZ WHILE STANDING TALL AND PROUD. NOT GIVEN TO THE FAMILY.NOT THAT THE FAMILY DOESN’T DESERVE IT, BUT I THINK YOU ALL KNOW WHAT I MEAN…

  7. Maj P – thanks for continuing to help us honor these fine men and women whose selfless commitment to our country must always be remembered.
It’s a new year; more troops are headed overseas; and missions have increased in Somalia as well as the MidEast. We cannot support our troops without organizations like http://www.AnySoldier.com which provide our contacts. The costs to operate the AnySoldier website/server are high, and can only be continued with funding from us. PLEASE make a $$$ contribution to your favorite military-support organization this month. One Team; One Fight.

  8. The words ‘Uncommon Valor’ keep running thru my head whenever I hear the name Cpl Jason Dunham. Now I’ll think the same whenever I hear ‘Ross McGinniss’.
Bless them both for the selfless acts of heroism that will always be remembered.

  9. I forgot to say, before you make a $$$ contribution to your favorite military-support organization, please check with your employer to see if they have a “Matching Donation” program for donations to non-profit organizations. MANY COMPANIES HAVE THESE PROGRAMS, BUT DO NOT PUBLICIZE THEM !!! If you work for the federal government, your employer WILL match your donation; ask about the forms you need to complete. THIS IS A GREAT WAY TO MULTIPLY YOUR DONATION.
