Vday Veterans Day is approaching Nov 11th. If you don’t have plans already for Saturday, then you need to make them now to “Thank A Vet”!  If there is a veteran’s hospital in your area, you need to go visit it and take some American flags with you to thank them in person.  If there isn’t a VA hospital in your area, hang a flag near your local military base. If worse case you can always go by your local VFW post or simply stop by your neighbor who you know has served and simply say THANK YOU! For you gunfighters of the past you rate to wear your medals on your civilian attire on Nov 11th.

Don’t have them or your missing them? Go here to find what you need.

  1. Maj B. You know where I’ll be on Saturday…. and on Friday Nov 10th .. Happy Birthday to the Proud, The Few, The Marines

  2. I’ll be sure to pass this along to my Ancient Warrior dad. Maybe he’ll dig them out..but I doubt he’ll wear them. About the only thing he does is wear a Marine cap. He’s really very modest about his time in the Marines except when it comes to telling us his stories….. 🙂
He finally finished his book, which we kids all bullied him into doing, and I sent a copy along to Seth to read while he’s in Iraq. It won’t be too much longer though till he’s home and able to swap stories with his grampa in person. Yeehaw!!!

  3. I’ve been invited to present our church denomination’s warriors in N. CA – been working on a slide power point presentation to let people see them and see what they write from combat. Hate the editing! Pretty special bunch which is 30% Marine vs national average of 12% Travel on 231 BD.
Happy 231th Birthday Day Major and to Marines everywhere and a big Thank You for Your Service!
    Semper Fi,

  4. We’ll be going to a huge parade in Albany, OR biggest in the US I believe. Memorial services, breakfast, etc. goes on all day! Very inspiring every year, wish you all could be there.

  5. Major, I will be walking in the Breast Cancer 3-Day walk in San Diego this weekend. But my sister & I want to honor our Vet’s as well. So on Saturday during the walk we will be be wearing shirts that thank our Veteran’s.
God bless you, and God bless America. Thank you troops!
