WASHINGTON (Army News Service, June 12, 2006) – Cake-cutting ceremonies, balls, special concerts and Soldier appreciation days will take place throughout the Army and around the world this week …

  2. Happy 231st Birthday, US Army!

Since its birth on 14 June 1775-over a year before the Declaration of Independence-the United States Army has played a vital role in the growth and development of our nation. Soldiers have fought more than 10 wars, from the American

  3. It’s really interesting having sons in different branches of the military. Kevin joined the Air Force to learn to work on jets, and his dream has come true. He’s worked on B-52s, F-15s, AWACS, and will transfer to an F-16 fighter base this summer. Seth, on the other hand, joined because he couldn’t decide what to do with himself after highschool. He decided on the Army because they let him choose his MOS and were offering huge bonuses. (It’s all about the money at that age…:) Anyway, since then, every time they get together or talk to each other, the insults fly…Kevin is in the chairforce, and Seth is a dumb grunt. They just crack me up sometimes. And if you throw my dad, the Marine, into the fray, it gets really interesting.
Thanks for the congrats for the Army’s 231st birthday, Capt. B…all of you are, indeed, brothers in arms.

  4. Speaking of reitrees – there is an exceptional analysis of the current situation in Iraq by retired flag officers on my site. Give it a read – it’s oustanding.

  7. My wife is proudly serving our country right now in Iraq and in an e-mail a woman sent her the woman says she has made some T-shirts that read
If You Don’t Stand Behind Our Troops Feel Free To Stand In Front Of Them.
I hate to be negative but this is how I feel about anyone who will not stand behind our troops.
